January 2022 Fiscal Monthly Update

Fiscal Software Migration Status

We are finally in the home stretch for fiscal software migrations! We have 5 months remaining to migrate the remaining districts off Classic State Software. The current wave, which includes Field, Manchester, Medina County Career Center, Medina ESC, Mogadore and Springfield, will begin payroll parallels next month.

Calendar Year-End Update

We’ve all made it through another Calendar Year-End. This time of year is one of the busiest times here at NEOnet for the fiscal team. The office is filled with the sounds of printers constantly running and the cha-chink of the folder sealer.  Below is this year’s statistics:

# of W2s printed:             23,921

# of 1099s Printed           2,629

Printer Toner                   4 cartridges

New Fiscal Team Members

We had two new team members join us this month, Chelsea Kerr and Rebecca Seiler.

Chelsea Kerr will be focusing on State Software Redesign support. Prior to coming to NEOnet, Chelsea worked for 2 years as a Fiscal Support Liaison with focus on the State Software Redesign. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University and has 7 years of combined teaching experience working with students of all ages from Pre-K through 10th grade. She greatly enjoys learning about new technology and its application within schools.

Rebecca Seiler will be focusing on eFinancePlus support. She comes to NEOnet with a plethora of experience including data conversion on a Finance team, system testing and new system training, Accounting, Financial Analysis, development of new departmental processes and procedures, and entrepreneurship. She has a BA in Business Management Information Systems from Kent State with an Associate’s degree in the Arts. Her focus in business has taken her from the security industry to software companies with the ability to adapt easily to quickly changing environments.

Redesign Inventory Module

Since the release of Redesign Inventory in August, we have been test loading 8 districts’ data into Redesign Inventory. We plan to break the 8 districts into two training groups to reach our deadline of June 30, 2022. Please be on the lookout for an email from Patrick Goclano as he will be doing your Kickoff Meeting & Training in the coming months. We plan to hold a kickoff meeting in February to walk through the clean-up processes.

You can begin cleaning up your pending file and making sure everything you want posted in Classic has been posted. The pending file will NOT be converted to Redesign Inventory, therefore if there is anything in there that is needed it will have to be manually added later. If you have any questions please contact fiscalhelp@neonet.org
