During this time, Cyrus helped districts setup some of their first district file servers and computer labs. He worked with many district staff, several whom were taking on new roles as Technology Directors or Coordinators for the first time. Having graduated from Green High School, he even found himself assisting some of his former teachers who were now in charge of district technology. During his time there, he helped implement many new technologies which improved the district’s network, saved the district money, and helped work more efficiently. Many of these technologies such as VMware, Cisco VoIP, and Linux have since become mainstays in school districts and data centers over the last 10 years. He returned to NEOnet in 2008 to assume several new roles. He now administers multiple Cisco VoIP clusters for many of the NEOnet member districts, as well as the City of Cuyahoga Falls. He has obtained his OnBase System Administrator Certification and maintains the NEOnet OnBase system which many districts utilize for electronic document archival.
