DASL Update
This is the time of year where the Bulk Student Transfer feature in DASL can be useful to transfer a group of students from your district to another district. Examples may be students attending a JVS, a career compact district, or community school transfers.
Sending District Tips:
- Create your Ad-Hoc Membership in the current 22/23 school year
- The Ad-Hoc Membership should only include students who never attended the sending district. In other words if the student already attends the JVS you do not need to include in list
- Use Management » School Administration » Student Transfer » Bulk Student Transfer to make students available in 23/24 school year and transfer to the district AND building.
- The screen Transfer History will show any student you transferred and to where
Receiving District Tips:
- Use Management » School Administration » Student Transfer » Pending Students to bulk enroll pending students
- Do one home school at a time by using the Sending district search at the top of the page
- Fields to pay attention to when bulk enrolling
- Student Status
- Admission Date= 8/1/2023
- EMIS Situation
- Admission Reason
- How Received
- Percent of Time- choose the most frequently used
- District of Residence- match with the home school you used at top of page
- How Received IRN- match with the home school you used at top of page
- Fields to update after the transfer is complete.
- Percent of Time- do some students differ than the above percentage used?
- Contacts
- The screen Transfer History will show any student that was sent to you via the transfer feature.
If you have any questions on this process, please contact studenthelp@neonet.org
DataMap Update
Spring is a busy time of the year for you and your students as we round the last corner of the school year. Please remember to keep you assessment data updated, third party assessments such as ACT, SAT, AIMSWeb, Acadience Learning, STAR, NWEA MAP and iReady may be loaded often. No need to worry the data will duplicate, DataMap will only overlay the previous results if the data had been previously loaded. Spring Assessments such as OST will become available starting May 16th for Math, Science and Social Studies. ELA OST Spring Assessment will become available May 22nd. If you are having difficulty finding time in your busy schedule to keep your assessment data up-to-date, please remember NEOnet has Data Services option in which we will load your data weekly. It is the deal-of-the-day at only an additional 50cents ADM.
Please be sure to sign up at https://neonet.org/event/datamap-roundtable-3/ to attend the DataMap Spring Roundtable on Tuesday, April 25th at 9:00am. You are welcome to attend in-person at NEOnet in Meeting Room D (lower level) or virtually. I look forward to seeing everyone!
